I'm not trying to self-diagnose or look for answers through the internet, but I just want to hear from you guys. I constantly get sore throats every month that lasts about a good week to two weeks. It started last year around this time (May). I was working, and started to see spots and got drowsy, I got home, felt very weak and went to sleep from exhaustion. I woke up, and my throat was unbelievable! I had never felt such pain in my life. My throat made it so that I couldn't eat, I couldn't sleep, I couldn't talk. I literally wanted to kill myself. This s*** is seriously driving me nuuuuuuuts. I had my tonsils removed at a very young age due to puss pockets, so those aren't an issue. My throat feels like sand paper. It finally subsided after almost a FULL MONTH. Now, every month for a good week or two, I get the same thing, but it isn't as bad and all it is now is just an extremely painful throat. It has started to feel more muscular, but with a burning sensation. No headaches, no runny nose, no fatigue, nothing, just my throat. I checked my uvula, and it was very swollen and longer than usual..so I am hoping it's not uvilitis. I'll be seeing an ear/nose/throat specialist next week, but I just want to hear what you guys think too.
