You may want to see if you have a latex allergy. If the Dr. is using Latex gloves our you are using condoms this maybe the factor.

Well, after today's Dr visit, we are guessing it is vulvitis and may be a side effect to new pill I was put on due to the fibroid. I have been prescribed a external cream for a week. If this does not work, I'm going off the pill to see if it actually is a side effect. Will keep you posted.

Thank you. I hope so too! Never figured this could be a side effect. Nothing is ever that simple with me lol

HAVE YOUR ESTROGEN level checked ladies!! I have this severe burning in the labia areas, and I have had relief with estrogen tablets. I have had breast cancer twice, but my sweet oncologist decided that benefits out weighed the risks. It took three weeks before I felt any relief, and its minimal because I can not take a "good dose" of estrogen due to the cancer factor. But IT DID WORK FOR ME!! I can tolerate life now! Good luck:-) to all of you. I have been to numerous doctors and I do now how you feel about "they look at me like I am nuts"!! But I have had hormonal problems all of my life, and sometimes a small extra amount can do a world of good to relieve this stuff.

I had similar thing happened to me. After antibiotics treatment i got a constant burning sensation in vagina and uretra for 2 months. No infections were found, except of minor ones later. Finally i found a good doctor who said it's HPV virus exacerbation. Basicly, if it's not infection, its can be only virus (HPV or HSV2), dysbiosis or unfortunately vulvar dysplasia. Viruses may also cause simptoms similar to cyctitis. As a temporary solution, Genferon suppositories/ ointment relieved burning almost immediately for me. Also ointments with corticosteroids help. My advice is to keep looking for a good doctor to diagnose you correctly. Constant burning is NOT normal, visuses withouth treatment can be very agressive and cause dysplasia and then cancer(((

I'm sorry to say that I do not have any answers for you, but I definitely share in your frustration. I have struggled with yeast infections and occasional BV for years. Things have gotten better, but here recently, I have been experiencing a similar burning sensation that you described, but doctors say there is no yeast, no BV, no strep bacteria, no STDs, and that everything looks normal. I have been in a committed, monogamous relationship for six years so I am not ever concerned about STD's, but I was taken by surprise to hear from my doctor this time that there was no sign of yeast or BV. Over the years, I have seen multiple doctors all to no avail. I take probiotics, use unscented soaps specifically for sensitive skin, I've changed birth control pills, and I take all of the appropriate precautionary steps to prevent any kind of infection. I am at my wits end and I feel awful for my boyfriend who has to deal with all of this right along with me. There's nothing either of us can do and it is so frustrating! I'm sorry that I don't have any answers or solutions to share with you, but hopefully it somehow helps to know that you are not the only one dealing with this!

You might research Interstitial Cystitis (IC). When I first started suffering from it I had discomfort and irritation and I always felt like I had to pee even right after emptying my bladder. I had always had a healthy bladder and never had any infections but the doctor said that I had classic symptoms of a bladder infection so they kept misdiagnosing me with bladder infections even though my tests came back negative. They kept giving me antibiotics without knowing what was really wrong and now I have more issues as a result of all of the antibiotics that I was wrongfully prescribed. It took them almost a year to diagnose me with it. You might also research Pelvic Floor Disorder (PFD) and Vulvodynia. I know I have at least two of those and I'm pretty sure that I have the third as well. If it is IC then freeze dried aloe vera capsules work wonders.

Drinking Minute Maid pomagrante blueberry juice mixed with a pomagranate cranberry juice has worked wonders for whatever has been causing me the dreadful burning sensation. I'm not sure if it is the PFD or Vulvodynia causing the burning though. It makes it less painful to pee but you have to just experiment to see how much and how often you should drink it in order for it to help. They say not to drink juice if it is IC because it could irritate you but everybody is different and what I eat or drink doesn't seem to affect me. Stress and sleep deprivation seem to be my biggest triggers though. IC patients shouldn't just take a doc's word for it because the medical community does not know what causes IC and they don't understand it. Talk to other IC patients who knows what's best for them, but never just take somebody else's word for it. Figure out what triggers yours, if you have it, and figure out what works for you. Every IC patient is different. I hope this helps you in some way.

I have had vaginal burning for decades. I was finally diagnosed with vulvodynia. I found some relief with a low oxalate diet. It really limits the vegetables you can eat but the relief is worth it. Cranberry juice is high in oxalates and makes it worse. Also, look into the National Vulvodynia Association. When it is really bad, I use 2% Lidocaine.

Hello! Okay, this started in 2010, wowza! I think I may have a slight solution for some. When I was little, my "PeePee" would get red and burn. My mother would tell me to wash there, and she'd get a wash cloth with soap on it. Cleaning your lady parts, and everywhere else should probably always be on your to do list. I'm experiencing similar symptoms as you have described at this moment! I haven't had any sex, I'm on a diet (no yeast), and I haven't tried any cream on the those parts. It mostly started out of the blue on the weekend. I hadn't taken a shower since the day before yesterday so I figured the burning sensation was cause of this. I went to the shower and applied soap...and hopefully rinsed out well. My symptoms may be from something else then you ladies, but make sure you clean. And sometimes washing doesn't necessarily help, rinse well. If washing makes it worse, only water and try to sit it out. From what I know, Vaginal regions can clean themselves in a way.
