I had H pylori and the post about it above is correct.  i did have ulsers from it and it does not have anything to age and can lead to cancer.  infact in their new testing, it is #1 cause of stomach cancer which is very bad.  but this happens to me all the time.  mostly when i eat.  i suspect i am allergic to some foods that cause the swelling as i have inflammation.  i eat and it swells and by the waist line it feels as if you have a belt on or tight pants around the waste only to determine there isn't anything but the weight of your shirt or covers or light elastic.  sometimes i forget until it gets really bad and i try to loosen the tightness around the waist and right abobe the naval.  i have been told i have a hernia which could have something to do with it but i know that everytime when this happens i lay back a bit on my adjustable bed so that my stomach isn't pressured more by being bent but not too far back where it stretches the stomach.  the rubbing i read has to be really light but that seems to work some, but i take everything off of my stomach including sheet blanket, clothes.  and lay there and wait.  like maybe 10 to 15 minutes until the swelling goes back down.  i heard dont eat too much, yes when you have this condition, the more you eat the worse time you have.  and i suppose if you have an allergy then finding out what it is then stop eating it and if you are glutten sensitive, well.  but if it just started happening, ulser maybe.  very painful.  maybe even suck on an ice cube to reduce swelling and cool the stomach.  the area above the navel is very very sensitive.  and for me it is somewhat sensitive.  hope that helps anyone.  i know it sounds weird, but if you have what i have, perhaps it helps you.
