About 6 weeks ago I was on a 10 day antibiotic for a sinus infection and yet again got a sinus infection last month and on an antibiotic again. So my body has had antibiotics in me for quite some time. Also I'm on a continuous birth control for chronic cysts and my GYNO recently lowered my continuous dose. I recently got a new boyfriend and we've been having sex just about every day for 3 weeks now with and without a condom. I have been spotting here and there for past couple months but right now I'm full blown spotting red and brown. Thing is home pregnancy tests are showing negative. Could I be pregnant or do you think it's just hormonal changes? Thanks =)
I think due to all your change in medication & your body being up and down in its health, it has just messed up how everything normally is. It is common for anti-biotics to cancel out or weaken birth control, depending on which anti-biotic it was & which contraception you're on. I can see why you're concerned but I wouldn't worry too much if I were you. :)
Antibiotics can stop the pill, wait till you miss a period and test again
