Cut (infection?) near vagina?

Hello. I'm 16 years of age, not sexually active, and have an issue which I do not want to talk to my mom about. Recently, I have discovered a purplish coloured sore on the pubic hair on the right side of my vagina. It only hurts if I press on it, and it also bleeds a little every hour or so. I believe it is just an ingrown hair or I could have accidentally cut myself somehow, but I would like to know what else it could possibly be. Please help!

Hi, by your description I would say it is more like a boil, how big is it and do you remember it coming to a head, also do you shave the area where it is?

It is just about the size of a fingernail (if you can picture that) and no, I don't remember it ever coming to a head. I have shaved in that area recently, but I don't normally shave there. Oh, and earlier I noticed that there was what appeared to be a tiny hole. It wasn't deep. It has helped a little, thank you. (:

Hi, I would in to Google an type in what does a boil look like then in to images and compare to see if it looks the same :-)

So, I checked, and it does look very similar, so I am very sure it is a boil. I have the treatment, so of course I'll be using that. Thank you so much for your help! :3

I could also be an ingrowing hair there if you shaved the area recently.
