My daughter has stopped taking her methadone due to fears of birth defects and is now in constant pain. She is no more than 6 weeks pregnant and wants this baby very much. She has been taking 10 mg methadone without the blocker for spinal damage and nerve damage in her back. What should she do? she is so afraid of miscarring, but everything I read said she should stay on the amount and pray and take the risk of the baby having mild to severe withdrawals rather than a miscarriage.
