Hello,

Is it possible to have Decidual bleeding at 9 weeks of pregnancy? I had severe back pain for 4 days followed by bleeding for one day. The ultrasound done that day showed presence of a heartbeat. I am still waiting for the blood results.

Could this be Decidual bleeding? I am in my 3rd month. The back ache is still present. Could this mean, I have a chance of miscarrying the baby?

Please advice. I am very worried at the moment. My next appointment is 2 weeks away.

Thanks,
LGirl01

Hi there,

Congrats on seeking medical attention right away! As I'm sure you have read some forms of bleeding are not uncommon in early pregnancy, even the third month. However, some questions to you would be, is your back pain severe, dull, etc, has the bleeding began again, if it has what color, is there cramping or no cramping?
For my first pregnancy I though I lost my beautiful son three times due to bleeding which was heavy, but on each ultrasound he was fine. The radiologist said that some women just bleed, not very helpful.
You may wish to speak to your doctor again as intercourse can also trigger bleeding and may want to be avoided.
