Hi there, I want to know something. How do doctors diagnose bronchitis? I am a guy who is 32 years old by the way. What test should patients do? I am asking this because my sister will go to doctor tomorrow and I think that she may be suffering from bronchitis. Thanks in advance for your answers.

Well I will try to help you out. A patient should go to physical examination. If your sister is suffering from bronchitis, then decreased intensity of breath sounds will be revealed for sure. If wet or dry cough is present, then she is probably suffering from bronchitis. There are also some tests. These tests are for determine if the patient suffer from chronic bronchitis. Chest X ray and pulmonary function test are those tests.
