Hi, Ladies.

I am assuming that since you are reading this you believe you may have had a miscarriage. Even if you are not sure, I know from personal experience, that this is a scary moment for you. I am sharing my experience in hopes that it will help another female going through the same thing I went through.

My experience:

A few weeks ago I began having intense cramps, a lot like period cramps, just way more intense. The cramps weren't constant but would come and go. At first I thought I might be pregnant but I had recently changed my diet and eating habits (extreme changes) and since I have had pregnancy scares before I just assumed it was because of my diet (in retrospect it seems silly, but that's what I thought). There were 2 days where I was extremely grumpy/emotional. I would snap on my fiance and then immediately start crying. Once again I assumed it was because of my diet changes (I was told cutting sugars cold turkey would make me grumpy :-/). After a few days the cramps decreased and I was feeling better, so I dismissed everything all together. Then on Sunday night I started bleeding. ((warning TMI)) I assumed it was my period but was a little confused because the blood was bright pink, not the normal brown that comes before my period usually starts. I didn't think anything else of it and went to bed. Monday morning I woke up still bleeding a little more heavily now but nothing out of the normal for me. Then I started having the worst cramps I've ever had. I went to work anyway. (I am a nanny) After the parents left for the day the cramps just kept getting worse. I went to the bathroom and just sat on the toilet, it seemed to help a little. At this point I was bleeding pretty bad but again nothing out of the norm for me. I went down to the couch and curled up in a ball rocking back and forth. After a few minutes of constant insane cramps (maybe 30 seconds between cramps) I felt something (felt like heavy bleeding and maybe a blood clot) pass vaginally. I went to the bathroom and took out my tampon (sorry TMI) and when I wiped on the toilet paper was a big "blob" of what looked like tissue/blood clot. It was about the size of a golf ball, maybe a little bigger. At this point I "knew" I just had a miscarriage. I don't know how I knew, because I didn't know I was pregnant, call it mother's intuition, if you want. I ended up going to the ER and they gave me a urine and blood pregnancy test, both positive. Which confirmed my fear of a miscarriage.

I was devastated. It wasn't a planned pregnancy and I didn't know I was pregnant but it still hurt like hell to lose my baby. It was like a double shock. OMG!! I got pregnant.... but now I'm not.

I wanted to share my story with you because I know the pain you are going through. Its scary, painful and confusing all at the same time. I would just encourage you to listen to your body. And if you think you had a miscarriage I strongly encourage you to see a Dr. immediately as there are very serious complications that can occur.

I hope this helped at least one woman. I know I googled like crazy when it happened to me and the stories helped me. So sharing my story is the only way I know how to give back.

If you did have a miscarriage there are no words I can say to help you feel better. But know you aren't alone.

::Hugs::

I had my last menstrual cycle on April 25-29. Nothing happened all of May so I got worried. Finally, I got what I think is my period on June 6. The weird thing is that, firstly I am still having my cycle. It usually lasts about five days so I expectd to be off by the 11th at the most. Secondly, I keep seeing large bloody matter. I have bad cramping and some pain. Every time I think my cyle is ending, I see more of the bloody matter. The bleeding isn't heavy but it's almost like its not blood at all, just some reddish fluid. I am worried that I am having a miscarriage.

You are the problem with this world. If someone is not ready for a child DO NOT JUDGE THEM FOR THEIR DECISION JUST BECAUSE YOU DISAGREE WITH IT.

I am 48 and have not had my period for the last few months. I finally got it two weeks ago. It was very heavy, and the blood smelled horrible. It finally ended yesterday. Could I have had a miscarriage?

I want to know what the blood clot looks like when you have a miscarriage? Because I had a blood clot come out of me that was kidney bean shaped and hard. Did I have one?
