My wife is wondering if generic Latisse works the same as brand? any good experiences with this?

My girlfriend was using Latisse last year and she was very satisfied with the results. But if I remember correctly for the first two months nothing happened. So she was considering to give up the whole thing. But afterwards her eyelashes became huge and she had continue to use the product. But her best friend got an eye infection which wasn't that serious. Later I have find out that she didn't check with her doctor before she started to use Latisse. So the best is to check with your family doctor before she decides to start to use Latisse.
And my girlfriend said that she didn't have any side effects but that she has heard of few, like redness of the eye, itching and dryness in the eye. So before buying it check the ingredients. And your wife could share her experience with us because I couldn't find that many results when I was searching for some basic information.
