Please do not tell her this. Breathing deeply will NOT help in any way. She is obviously sick and there may be mucus build up in the lungs. Increasing lung capacity will not help at all.

Over the course of two to four days. I've developed a dry cough. Occasionally some concentrated mucous comes out, but they are mainly dry. I top of that I developed a weak and upset stomach. I have had trouble working long shifts, and I can't focus on work without the feeling it will shoot out the other end. I'm only 17 and both my dad and stepmom smoke. Could them smoking be the cause?

I also have the same thing. Out of nowhere or no reason at all, especially when I breathe deeply through my nose, this dry cough came and it blocks my airway. Its like I'm choking, unless my boyfriend helps me by slapping me thru my back I cant breathe at all. And this is scares me, because I went to see the doctor about it and they told me it nothing serious. Please, Tell me what is really going on with me. Im the only one who's taking care my father in bed, and yes I'm his only hope. So first thing first is that I really need to take good care of myself so I can take good care of my father. Theirs time that especially after caring my father around in the house I can feel pain on my back. I also feel pain on my shoulders. Please can you help me with my need?..

I started with a chest cold and cough. Cold is gone but cough is deep and chest hurts. I was afraid I was having a heart attack with the pain in the chest. Went to the doctor and she gave me flonase for post nasal drip. I know I have that, but this worries me. I just wonder if I should have gotten antibiotics. This is 5 weeks now.

I got something similar a year ago and the doctor said it was virus that's going around so antibiotics wouldn't help. I just had to wait for my body to kill it and it lasts for months. Now a year later it's finally going away.
