Hey girls. I just came back from my lady doctor, and she says it is normal for any woman to be affected this way. Im still bleeding and I'm over 10 days. She said if it doesn't stop after 14 days and it is still heavy, to come back in and they will have to do tests and an ultra sound to make sure there are no polyps or anything else wrong, but its most likely a side effect of plan b. She said that it affects women in different ways because it is basically a bunch of different hormones. Since all of us women have different hormone levels than each other, it is normal for one woman ro have an early heavy and long period and another to have a late light period. Before my appointment I looked this thread up and was worried, especially since noone followed up mainly with whether it stopped or what their doctor said, but I did take comfort in the fact that we all were going through the very same thing. So, ladies, my doctor wasnt surpeised if it lasted around 14 days, but more than that, sounds like it might possibly be a growth or something else so get checked out! I'll try to follow up when I end and if anything was wrong.
Okay mines different from others Istarted bleeding like 3days after the morning after pill it lasted bout 7days and this was round the 5th of AUGUST now on the 22nd which is my normal flow usually lasting 6days now I'm on my 8th day of flowing very light but bad cramps I no I'm not pregnant just want to no how long it will last till I stop bleeding other people go 2 months without theirs then they start I didn't miss my period date so I just want to no how long this will last.

Day 15 for me now, still bleeding. Wondering when it will stop... I'm never doing this again, taking Plan B was a terrible choice. I wasn't even that worried I guess I just wanted to be 100% positive I wasn't going to get pregnant. Wasn't worth it, should have just waited. I can see why someone would take it if the condom broke or something serious of that nature but this has completely disrupted my natural hormones.
The same thing happen to be back in October I took it on the 5 th but didn't get my period till the 12th and bled for about two weeks but it was dark brown/reddish and thick
That happen to me, got my period a week after I took it and it's lasted ten days
I also took the plan B and had an extremely long monthly that has lasted 12 days I went to the doctor as well as spoke to a pharmacist. I was told by both that is normal. That the Plan B pill is a really strong birth control and effects everyone different. The pill did its job and is running its course and we should not worry. However both also said this why plan b shouldn't replace regular birth control nor be used with freguency. I hope this helped and set your minds at ease.
The EXACT same thing is happening to me and now my second period is like 4 days late...was everything ok?
I had unprotected sex 2 days after my last period. I took the plan b 40 hrs after having unprotected sex. My period was suppose to come 3 weeks later but it ended up being 14 days late. When it finally started it was extremely light & by the 3rd day it became moderately heavy. After 18 days it seemed as if it finally stopped only for to come back 2 days later. Since then every 2 days it comes back for a few hrs & goes away for another 2 days. I'm now 7 wks in & it seems like it's never going to end. I haven't had any cramps & I know I'm not (wasn't) pregnant because I took a test. Has anybody else's been this extreme. From what I read most people only last 12 days.

I took plan B pills 2 days in a row n got my period on the 12th of this month. At first it seemed normal n that lasted about a week until I started having mostly very light old bleeding with no cramps n some days barely any bleeding at all except in the mornings. Then today the cramps are insane n I'm bleeding alot heavier n it doesn't look so much like older blood anymore. It looks n feels like my regular cycle, but I've NEVER had an ongoing issue b4. So I kno it has to be cuz I took those pills, right?? What's happening to me??
