False negative pregnancy test?

hi!

i was wondering, a few ladies here mentioned they were having pregnant-like symptoms a couple of months ago, I was wondering how its turned out?

I'm starting to think I'm crazy, though this thread makes me a feel a bit more normal. I haven't had a period now for maybe 3.5 months, neg POAS, a couple in fact :$ then doctor a month ago and got a negative blood test. The last couple of weeks though I've had aching breasts, and now my belly is bloated and I have actually gained 3-4 kilos.

Arrrrggghhh!!!! I wish I knew what the heck was going on. Also, I just wish my period would come back, if I'm not pregnant, because we were so disappointed that we weren't pregnant we've decided its time Jasper gets a brother or sister... so its frustrating.

OK, this should satisfy many people with questions. I had a few months previous had the Norplant removed after 4 years. I missed my period and took a home pregnancy test with it coming out negative. I took no less than 10 tests all coming out negative but I felt I was pregnant. I got frustrated because my husband didn't believe me. So we went to a Birth Right clinic who gave me another urine test that came out negative again. I was very insistent that I was pregnant and that all those tests were wrong. So they gave me a blood test which I had to wait 2 days for the results. It came back positive. I feel pregnant again now and got a negative urine result. So, if anyone can't afford a doctor to get more clear results Birth Right and Planned Parenthood will confirm for free. Just don't let Planned Parenthood convince you to get an abortion.

Go get an ultra sound if its not pregnancy it could be something else like an ectopic or cyst but don't stop unttil you have an answer.

i got a urine pregnancy test at a clinic yesterday at around 2. i was thinking i was getting a blood test. so before i left at 12:40 ish i had a glass of apple juice and water. i had already peed that morning. i get the test and it comes back negative and my period is still late because with my previous pregnancy scares, after i found out i wasnt pregnant id start my period about an hour later. i cannot drive and no one will take me to get a blood test to be 100% sure. it really sucks. so yes you can get a negative and still have some possibility of being pregnant. (which im still unsure because no one wants to take me to get a blood test) lol

hi i have never joined a chat before im 41 and have had a c section and tubes tied as well ,after my now, 2 year old was born, my period was due 26th this month /which makes me 10 days late had urine test said negative im freaking out any help would be great

Hi i am experiencing the same pregnancy symptoms and the last period i had was April 4th pf 2012 i also felt the movements and have to be on i hate now and crave alot of starchy foods and stay on medication just so i can eat because I stay so sick I have had loss of appitite and have had several negative blood and urine pregnancy test. my doctor just took a pregnancy test and it was negative and he checked my hormone levels and says I am perimenopause and he says that could be causing mt symptoms but I beg to differ. I have gone through this seven other times and I was always pregnant usually by the time they would listen to me and do and ultrasound i would be anywhere from 16 weeks to 34 weeks. Can someone please help me too. frustrated and feeling crazy in Rome Ga :'(

I'm 42 yrs old with 2 grown children. I had a tubal ligation(clips) about 15 yrs ago. I am never late for my period except when I am pregnant. I just had blood wk done two months ago including thyroid and hormone panels, everything came back normal. Ffwd to today and it has been 6 wks n 5 days since I had my last period. I've taken four tets all but one came back with an xtra faint pos and last one neg.. I'm usually sick as a dog thru my pregnancies but other than throwing up a few times I'm okay. I do have headaches, cramps, excessive gas, lower back pain, tiredness, cravings(starches), sudden weight gain in the belly area. I'm stressed.. I will say this tho, when I was pregnant with my son urine and blood test came back neg until I was 15 wks along.. I was showing by the time I was able to convince my doc to do an ultrasound lol

I'm curious to hear from other's who thought they may be pregnant even with the negative urine pregnancy test. I am going through this, too. Tubes done over 18 years ago (YIKES) but now, I am two weeks late for my period. Headaches, nausea, tender breasts, etc, and had a negative urine test. My dr is reluctant to believe I am pregnant because of my tubal but I am as regular as the sun rising each day. Now... I may have to wait a month and a half for a sonogram. That's too long to wait to find out!!

I had a miscarriage a few months ago and became pregnant again with in 2 months. I took 6 hpt and they were all positive. 1 week later I took one (I guess for piece of mind) and it was negative, so I took another and it was negative. I started freaking out and doing research on false negatives and they are pretty common. I realized that I was chugging water in the afternoon when I tested and then testing one after another. Do not do this to your self!! You must NOT drink water before bed and test first pee in the morning. And wait at least 4 hours to test again. This is what I did and it came up positive again.

I was experiencing a lot of the pregnancy symptoms as well... with negative tests. After some research online about tubal ligation, I found some information on Post Tubal Syndrome. A lot of the symptoms are the same as pregnancy. It usually begins at age 30 plus. I would recommend researching it more and possibly a trip to the doctor for a blood test for pregnancy and if this is negative a hormone test. The hormone test can detect Post Tubal Syndrome.

I am goin thru the same thing all my fam and friend think I'm makin it up cus I tested neg but my body feels different for 3 months now the first month I had all pregnancy symptoms and I missed a whole 28 day cycle the following month I did have a period but after that I still had light cramping n lots of gas and bloating little nausea and very tired and my breast usually are very sore a week before my period comes I was suppose to come on this month on the 28 I have no regular signs of it coming on except light cramping. I don't want to be pregnant but if I am so be it I'm just tired of feeling like I'm goin crazy and wen I try to ignore the feelings I just can't and I feel like I can't talk to no one about it with out being judged or considered that I wanna be pregnant I scared and alone on this one!

I too have had 8 pregnancies before and know when I'm pregnant..had multiple negative home prenancy tests done blood tests, but my period over months has been abnormal, light and not normal,I'm a very active person and now gained over 20lbs and feel something in my belly at night as well as my husband felt something kicking as well...next step ultrasound.

I haven't had a real period in 2 months my belly is getting bigger and im feeling movement and no one believes im pregnant because of my tubal i keep talking tests it comes back negative im going to take another one first thing in the morning

I had a tubal ligation 5 years ago. I have pregnancy symptoms food craving/aversion, sensitive breasts, full feeling in lower abdomen, pms like cramps, nausea, and missing my period (that only has happened to me when I was pregnant 2 times before - both successful pregnancies). I have had 4 urine home preg tests come up negative. I know my body and i know Im pregnant. Has anyone with previous tubal ligation had a positive blood test or did that come up false negative as well? Need advice......

I'm having the same issue. its driving me crazy. You can see an extremely faighht line but its been 3-4 months and I have all the symptoms as well!
