This is called orthostatic hypotension,
This happens when you lie down , and then stand up really fast. The brain doesn't get enough blood for some time, but then the body adjusts to it.
Solution: neck exercises, first sit upright before standing up, if you are about to have the thing just bend down, and it should go away.
Causes: caffeinated drinks, low BP, dehydration
Also drink a lot of water,
See a doctor if these symptoms occur to you very frequently or you pass out, but it's nothing to worry about and it passes with time

I have this too, since gaining way too many pounds, and have also taken synthesis for about 12 years now. This started happening just since going from overweight to obese, though, so I'm thinking that's it... or it could be part of ME/CFS, which I also have.

Might be PVC's of the heart.
That's what I was diagnosed. This event just happened to me again 10 minutes ago. I bent over just a bit to dust my furniture and my heart started beating very fast and I started to get dizzy. I think the lower ventical of the heart gets squeezed when I bend over sometimes. Not really sure though. I had my finger on my phone and ready to call 911 but it subsided. I am sitting down now to relax.

I'm so glad you pointed that out . Ludicrous statement " panic attack can turn into an heart attack " !!!

I just had it happen like 10 times in the last couple of hours just from sliding some furniture around to sweep and mop the house. It was even worse when I was pregnant with my son and when I was in teens and my early twenties I used to pass out at least once every 2 or 3 months. They performed all kinds of test from blood work to scans of my brain and the only thing they found was something called a chiari type 1 malformation during an MRI of my head and neck.

POTS syndrome? Anyone diagnosed with that? I'm having the same issues. Getting worse.

I'm not sure how old this is or if you have figured it out but look into postural orthostatic tachycardia syndrome (POTS)

Hello, I have been experiencing these symptoms for years now.....but have become more frequent and scarier. I too believe that this is cause by the vagus nerve . I found this out...all on my own...because not one doctor I've ever been to...including the ER....have believed it's the cause of all my horrible symptoms.

Hold your nose and then pretend that you need to do a bowl movement push and hold for 5 seconds -- release your heart should slow - if it doesn't work try it again make sure you are pushing firmly when you pretend to be going to bathroom. that is what worked for me -- there is another method that I found online you make yourself sick by sticking your fingers down your throat.

Hi all when you say your heart is beating fast does it feel like it’s beating out your heat very forcefully and you can see it as well as it going fast? That’s what mine feels like started when I was 12 and I’m now 37 with still no diagnosis I do get palpitations but nothing like the thud I feel when that happens

Thanks to all of you so much for your information and references. For the past 2 weeks, I have barely been able to function; these symptoms were aggravated by bending and lifting, but also happened randomly, even when resting. After reading and researching all of your suggestions, I thought it may be POTS. Since there is no real diagnosis for that, I went for acupuncture yesterday. I had 1 treatment yesterday and have almost no symptoms today. I have 2 more appointments scheduled just to make sure I'm sufficiently tuned up, so to speak. Why I went for acupuncture (besides the fact that it has always fixed what no one else can).... Bear in mind that this is a general observation, and I have no idea if any of these things are related. I have always thrived on stress, A-type personality. In 2008 I went through 4 rounds of chemo and a month of radiation for breast cancer. Ever since, I became easily flustered by even things I would have previously brushed off. In 2011 I started having these random heart symptoms, especially when going in the sun. I did all the heart & thyroid tests, everything was normal. One day the symptoms were so bad I called 911 and ended up in the hospital for 4 days because I had a heart attack due to "Takotsubo Syndrome." This is when your system has such a severe reaction to stress that your arteries essentially strangle your heart. Note - so it's a good idea not to ignore the symptoms! I'm not on any meds, and I've been fine ever since until this spring. Over the next few months I had all the heart tests again, and by the time I had the 48 hour heart monitor, I was fine... all summer. A couple of weeks ago, they started up again. By this weekend, I could barely function. I remembered that way back in the days when I was still having my period (I'm 67), every spring and fall my cycle would change, so I wondered if these symptoms could be hormone related. Since acupuncture has always helped with balancing my hormones (among other things), I gave it a try, and I'm amazed at the results. It may not be for you, but I wanted to add this in here as an option. Good luck and be well!
