can i still have my baby if i've been taking 60 mg of cmbalta for the first two weeks of my pregnancy?
Check with your dr. I was taking cymbalta and the day i found out i was pregnant, stopped taking it - went thru horrible withdrawal for about three weeks which the baby did not survive. It has been devastating to me - this entire thing and can't stop blaming myself.

Good luck to you with your pregnancy!

I am so sorry for your loss! I lost a baby at 5 1/2 months so believe me when I say I can understand. But you can't blame yourself as a Christian I learned long ago that God has a plan and sometimes i stinks but in the end we see the road clearly. Had I had my child I would have never finished college or have the job and life I do today. I don't say these make up for my loss, every mother's day I am depressed. I may now be pregnant but I amon several medications that can alter the tests (blood and urine) and possibly the pregnancy. I am praying for you, jus as I am praying that this time I will get a baby.

I have been on Cymbalta for almost 4 years now, and I may be almost nine weeks pregnant. I never knew Cymbalta could be harmful to the baby, and a hormone imbalance I have makes it impossible to get accurate readings from a urine test. My boyfriend and I are college students and we can't afford for me to go to the doctor. I ran out of pills yesterday, and my head is already on fire. I haven't had a period in two months though and I can only hope that if I am pregnant, my baby is okay.

I am so sorry for Your losses.

To last writer: So what happened? Were You pregnant and still on Cymbalta? Did You quit those?

I am taking Cymbalta (because of severe pain attacks) also and I am desperate for another baby.
The first was conceived drug-free but I do not know if it is possible anymore to do that.
I fear that the pain would be too much for me and the fetus to handle if I am off the meds...

My daughter just started taking (30mg)Cymbalta last week and just took 2 hpt over the weekend. They were both positive, and she stopped the Cymbalta. It is probably too soon to get any withdrawal, but she is worried about the baby. Is there a big chance of defects at this early stage?

I was on cymbalta when I got pregnant with my now 21 month old. She came out just fine. My Dr told me that there are risks but they are very minimal. My 21 month old was a full term baby with a healthy weight of 8 pounds 5 ounces. Above all I would just ask your Dr if for some reason you can not pay for your Dr go and get help from the Welfare office they will help you with insurance to make sure the baby is healthy. Above all that is the most important.
