here's my question, is it stress? alergies? listening to music with ear buds? alcohol comsumption? cell phones? mold? who knows.... all I know is that I got the drops from the doctor and tried the antibiotics and tried alergy medicine. All medicinal efforts were a temporary fix. I'm wondering if it isn't a combination of things

Is there a name for this type of procedure? Just the very thought of having your ears vacuumed sounds wonderful, I have been suffering with this problem for no less than 20 years.

I have had ear issues for years. I discovered it is yeast in the ear tubes. My ears have itched for the past 25 years! It was recommended to me to try olive leaf extract pills. I ordered this from a company named Seagate. It cleared up my ears once and for all. At first you have to take about 8 to 10 pills a day, then maintenance for about 4 pills a day. My ears no longer itch or drain. It's like a miracle!!!

I was given Mometasone Furoate Cream 0.1% and after two days of using a tiny bit of it, my problem has been gone for 3 weeks. I've had the problem y'all describe for many years and I've tried everything. This stuff works. Ask your doctor.

this is what i have been dignosed with http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Otitis_externa
it's also called swimmer's ears.
For a while I was affraid i had a Meniere's disease because my mum has it, but the doctor told me it wasn't the case since i didn'texperience any nausea, vomiting, and sweating.
I have experienced swelling of my ear cannal, liquid yeallowish wax comming out of my ear, dry wax flakes and eczema.
Doctor gave me some atibiotics and told me to keep the water away from my ear. Do not use cotton buds and do not stick anything inside your ear!!!! It will only make it worse! Use ear plugs when swimming or when washing your head.
Mine is getting better!
Good luck to you all.

years and years and drs and drs. I finally requested I see and ENT. The ENT told me I had bad eczema or psoriasis. My ear canals were swollen to be small. I used (and still use) Qtips regularly. I had tried tea tree oil with olive oil, tried anti-fungal, lots of things. He gave me fluocinolone acetonice oil ear drops and they work. I do not do it daily now, but regularly to keep the inflammation down. They say no qtips, but I still use them---even if I shouldn't....
Good luck...I would say most of the time it was clear fluid. headphones or busses (putting my head against the window) were the worst, but always felt good in a weird way of helping move things. I am going to try a allergy diet to see if I can figure out why.
Good luck!

I have the same issue with the fluid but it only comes out of my right ear, doc said he didnt think i had a perforated ear drum but the drum itself didnt look normal and possibly caused by an infection as a child that didnt go well. He blasted it out with the water jet did a hearing test and said my hearing is the same in both ears. Yet.. later that day the fluid starts coming back same ear. I had another doc tell me it was due to csoriasis in my ear and suggested i smear some of my cream in my ear using my finger. I dont have it serious just a few spots so im gonna try that for a few days cuz my ear is itchy and red sort of like a csoriasis spot. Ill keep you updated.

I have had issues with my ears since early childhood. A perforated left eardrum caused middle ear infections, the worst of which was on my 18th birthday, after a swim in the lake. The infection was cleared, the eardrum was mended but hearing never returned to normal. Then in 30's, my right ear started leaking. The ENT doc said I had a cholesteatoma, which is a growth in the middle ear and mastoid process. I had surgery to remove it, but afterwards my right ear that I had depended on suddenly became the worse ear. The hearing got bad enough that I started wearing a hearing aid in the right ear, in my 40's. Things were pretty much stable (annual hearing tests), until last year. I got an infection in the hearing aid ear, which I suspect was transferred from contaminated instruments. My GP prescribed antibiotics and ear drops (otoflaxin). It seemed to clear up temporarily. Now I have the problem many of you are describing -- slightly sticky fluid (no odor) with itching and crusting. I repeated the cycle of ear drops 3 times, but the problem always comes back. I too use Q-tips almost daily to clean out the mess and scratch the itch. I need to make an appointment with the ENT to see if the cholesteatoma might be coming back -- I sure hope not because I hate the prospect of another surgery. Thanks for your postings all.

I've had the ear leak problem for over a year now. I heard about a product you can try to stop the leaking -- it is Mario Badescu Control Cream. You can buy it on Amazon. I ordered a jar and started using it a week ago, applying it with a Q-tip. I am amazed that so far the leaking has stopped. All I can hope is that it stay dry from now on -- will post again in a few weeks.
