Besides causing infection, probably not. Unless you somehow managed to damage the area where its lodged at and then it might be really stuck there. Also depends on the type of string. The main thing you would have to worry about would be stuff getting stuck there and causing more to get stuck etc until it cause some sort of blockage. If that happened, your looking at this piece of string possibly becoming fatal. Also if you can still feel it its probably stuck in or near your bladder and extending out past your prostate to wherever you can feel the end of it. Not only is this bad, its likely the reason you got the infection because it can cause damage to the areas where muscle clamps around the urethra to stop the flow of urine.

My best advice: get it out, just to be safe. Yes it would require surgery, but depending on how bad its stuck they can telescope in so they wont be cutting you open. Visit a Urologist first. If you find one connected to a surgical center it will cost you less than going to a hospital. Your still looking at between $3,000 - $8,500 though depending on how well you can shop around though.

Final advice: if the price tag hasn't convinced you yet, don't try it again (or ever if your reading this and are just curious). No - you can't do it yourself - the urethra (the tube inside the penis) is quite fragile and very easy to do yourself serious damage if you go poking things down there. And anyway, the candle is probably in your bladder by now

I'm 14 I tried this with magnetic balls in a long string of 80 and when removing most became detached so I fought to get it out but the went side by side so I had to slowly pull them put there was a bit of blood I counted there was 96 so some were stuck in there (I did this an hour ago) it stopped bleeding now I'm worried one is in my bladder and I talked to my dad and he said I should be fine but were gonna go get x rays but I would not recommend ever doing this with any thing but if you did and are scared of it but scared to tell some one if it kills you they'll find out and every one will know or if it causes infections they'll find out or you can tell the people at the hospital were they deal with stuff like that on a daily baises and have it removed and only they will know and you won't have infections Well I hope there's nothing in there but stile getting checked
