Hello! Burns are some of the most common accidents in childhood. The treatment usually depends on the burn’s degree. The burns are classified on first-degree burn, second-degree burn and third-degree burn which will, according their severity, determine the treatment. It is important to hold the burned area under the cold running water for at least five minutes and cover it with a sterile gauze bandage. If necessary, pain relievers can be taken. Of course if the burns are more serious and cover significant part of the body then cold water should not be applied and burnt clothing should not be removed and emergency care should be called immediately
