I have been searching this topic but all I could find was these things caused by alchohol.
anyway
My situation is: I have had gall stones for a while, currently due to get it removed soon. A week ago I had to have an endoscopy done to remove a gall stone blocking my bile duct that was causing me a lot of pain. I've heard it's rare, but I actually got pancreatitis FROM the endoscopy. I don't drink or anything like that, and neither of these was caused by anything like that. From what I tell the pancreatitis is only acute because I only had the single attack, and that was it.
My question is:
When I get my gall bladder removed - which is scheduled soon - Will I ever be able to drink alchohol after that, or is that it?
Will I be able to drink only small amounts, or none at all, or maybe i'll be fine drinking normally?
Keep in mind I have not actually drank alchohol before this.
Any insight would be appreciated!

I used to have a drink every now and then with my family. However prior to my most recent attack I had maybe a beer every other day.
I find that stress + alcohol is the worst combination. I was very stressed due to school and had at most 1 beer.
To answer you will not be able to drink anymore. I have had one glass of champagne in about a 2 year period. Sadly the amount of time you dont drink does not stack up. However once I turn 21 I am going to drink alot for one night just because.
I strongly recommend using Marijuana. It is safer, you can feel the same good without ANY of the problems alcohol has. Also it is great for pain, this is coming from someone who has recurrent pancreatitis
