I have constant nausea again 18 days after having my gallbladder removed---I had a few good days but I am back to the nausea---I am on prilodec and carafate for what my gastro doctor thinks is reflux---I guess I have some of that but nothing except phenergan gets rid of the nausea----I feel so scared that this will never get better---no stomach pain----just nausea---has anyone else experienced this? if so---what helped?

I had my GB out almost a week ago and I still have horrible nausea. I also started having really bad acid reflux/sour taste in my mouth. I am so upset and worried I won't get better.

People keep telling me it takes time for your body to adjust.

You are only one week post op---it is normal to feel some nausea...try to eat very lightly---no fat and no dairy---lowfat protein shakes are good...Did you have gallstones or a low functioning gallbladder? What symptoms were you having before the surgery...For me, I don't think I should have had the gallbladder removed because I had no stones and still have the same symptoms as before the surgery. I do have better days now but it is over 3 months...How old are you? I think you are going to be fine because most people recover in two to three weeks...Unfortunately, I am unusual....I will say a prayer for you---try not to worry and just call your doctor with your concerns and they can give you something to help....I just don't know enough about your situation from your post but I do know you are just post op and some nausea is normal.

I had my GB out because I had sludge and a low EF. I was having small and large GB attacks. I also have a tumor that is being removed in a few weeks.

My GB would have had to come out eventually and once they take out the tumor, due to scarring I would not have been able to have the lap surgery. So my Surgeon and Surgical Oncologist wanted me to do it first.

I hate this nausea and heartburn and reading online so many people whose doesn't go away is worrying me. I just want it to stop!

I don't even want to eat and I'm not sure how I'll be able to go back to work.

I am really hoping to hear from someone who had the same issues and got better over time.
