I had my gallbladder removed last week due to low function and severe right abdomen pain. After the surgery, I was feeling okay. By day four, SEVERE nausea set in. I can hardly function or get out of bed. I am a very active person with small kids, I can't be in bed all the time. My surgeon prescribed anti-nausea meds, but they are not helping. I have extreme nausea whether I eat or not. My stools are loose, but they said that was normal. Although, my doc says the severe nausea is not normal. Please help me. I see a lot of other posts dealing with the same thing. I am so miserable. I would of never gotten my gallbladder removed if I knew this outcome was a possible. Please post me or email me with any advice or information. I am desperate.

Hi moemoe,
Is your condition any better? I am asking this because this post is 3 days old and now is your day 7 if I am not mistaking. Sometimes surgery doesn't go well and you can have side effects. Has your doctor told you that your surgery was all good?

Not any better. I am on day 12 post op. Doc said surgery went well, yet I feel worse now than I did prior to the surgery.

Well your body system has to adjust that you don't have gallbladder any more. Not really sure should this take that long.
Do you have diarrhea?
