Hello all! I had my gallbladder removed January 31, 08 and I've felt worse than ever and I’m only 18 years old! I go through some pain-free periods (don't last long at all) and then weeks of never ending pain!! I have been to the doctor many times, been for an upper GI and a colonoscopy and both came up negative for anything. I still have constant nausea, diarrhea, and frequent vomiting. The other day I kept vomiting up yellowish colored stuff that tasted like acid or bile and couldn't keep anything down. I constantly have pains in my upper abdomen and sometimes (mostly in the mornings) I have "attacks" that feel like someone is ripping my stomach and punching it from the inside. I'm thinking maybe I should go back to the doctor again but every time I do they never give me anything for pain or diagnose me with anything. PLEASE HELP ME! I feel like giving up, I'm in constant pain and I feel like everyone around me is sick of me complaining about it and I'm always in an ill mood because I hurt so bad and I feel like doing nothing besides sitting around all day. It's interfering with my entire life! THANKS FOR LISTENING and if anyone has any advice I would love to hear from you!

I can't give any advice, but I sure can sympathize! My stomach burns and feels like someone is ripping it apart everytime it's empty. The attacks come on suddenly and forcefully. It's been 4 weeks since my surgery and it feels like it's getting worse. My doctor dismissed my symptoms and told me...."it just takes time to heal". I'm miserable just like you and I think my family believes it's all in my head. Like you, my pain is worse in the mornings, but I attribute that to the fact my stomach is empty then. Let me know if you get any help for your situation...I'd sure like some, too.

I had my gallbladder removed and suffer the way you both have explained. The nausea and upper back pain are almost umbearable. I was diagnosed with gastroparesis and there is currently no cure but a medicine called Domperidone from Canada helps some. Your doctor has to prescribe it. Good luck!

I had laparoscopic gall bladder surgery 2 years ago and 2 weeks afterwards, I bent forward sharply to shave my leg which was propped on the counter, and felt a "ripping" sort of pain..
The pain never went away and only got worse.
Had 2 exploratory surgeries that made things even worse.
Now I have a diagnosis:
It is either Cecal Bascule (cecum flips up on itself) or Cecal Volvulus (cecum and right intestine twised).
It took me 2 long years of pain to finally be directed to a Colo-Rectal Surgeon.
If one is prone to a MOBILE CECUM, abdominal surgeries can cause these nightmarish conditions.
My advice - see a Colo-rectal Surgeon ASAP to rule out these possible problems. They will not go away with time or drugs - only specialized surgery will help.
NO ONE and NO WEBSITE ever mentions this problem - you must know what it is, before you can find out more about it, and it's more common than anyone realizes.
I now have some hope I might get my life back and can stop thinking of suicide.
Good Luck.
