I had my gallbladder removed last year. Im still having sharp pains on my right side of my back. Some times it really scares me its so sharp.
Almost like someone is stabbing me in the lower back. The pain comes and goes. I was just wondering if this is normal after you have surgery.

Hi shan38, my cousin had this surgery done last year and she doesn't say that she has anything like that so I don't think that it's totally typical. How soon can you see a doctor about this? I think it might be a good idea beause it is not typical and I don't know if it's realted to the gal bladder surgery since the gallbladder is on the left side, if I'm not mistaken. Keep us posted, okay?

Hi I am not sure if what I went through is the same thing but I had pain for months after my gallbladder surgery and I had gone to the dr for an ear infection and she gave me antibiotics for my ear. After a week not only was my ear better but it has been four months and my pain is completely gone. I believe that my pain was caused by an infection that no one could find.
