I am 18 years old and for a little over a year now i have had some pretty bad pain in my lower right abdomin. I have sharp pains at a constant in that area but at random times the pain intensifies and i end up doubled over a trash can in pain and become violently ill. at first the dr said it was my apendix but after a diagnostic laparoscopy they found that my gallbladder was slightly swollen and decided wasnt bad enough to remove. my question is if the pain is inconsistant with my galbladder and my gallbladder isnt that enlarged, why am I in so much pain? and could it be something else???

I've been having some similar problems ask the doctor for a HIDA scan to check your gallbladder function and a ultrasound to check for gallstones.  Both tests are plainless and it'll give some good information but do a little research about the test prior to make sure you know what questions to ask.

Yeah thanks im just so confused i had surgery and the dr that did the surg said it was enlarged but at the emergecy room during an attack a dr looked at the pics and said that the pain was inconsistant and couldnt be my gallbladder and he did no other test but a blood test than a blood test. He said my white blood cells were high but it was because of pain. It really worries me that its been a year now and none of the drs are on the same page :(
