Last week I noticed a small lump growing in my scrotum underneath the skin. Since then it has grown a little smaller then a golf ball. It is large and stretching my skin inside my scrotum. It is starting to hurt. Im not sure if this is a cyst, tumor, boil or what? But its very uncomfortable and I do not know what to do. It does not hang down with my testicles but it stays attached to the skin near the base of my penis. There is no white head or any visible head where this can be popped. I have never had problems in that region with anything. Please help.

Dear acblue94: Throughout our body we have pores and lymph nodes that are used for draing out fluids from our body. The growth - since it started to become smaller - could be a blocked pore or lymph node. Similar to a Barthenine (sp) cyst in a womans vagina. They get clogged with moisture, or an ingrown hair etc. OR it could be something worse. You need to see your doctor, It could be a blockage, or it could be worse. You just need to put mind at ease. Try massagine gently the area, see if it become smaller - just like lymphatic drainage. I wish you all the best!
