Same man. My penis has the grooves and I’m 16 and they feel kinda weird. When I got oral sex from a girl she said she liked the texture. So idk.

Hey. I have the same thing as well. I have tried to search online about it bit i cant find anything that makes sense. I dont think that it is an urgent condition, thrush or std. I dont even believe that this is caused due to masturbation or sexual activity. I have these cracks my whole life and im 30 now. The ONLY time i noticed a bit of reduction in the craccks was when i lost some weight at the age of 23 so "maybe" it is a matter of diet? This is a guess though that i doubt. The other thing i want to search or ask about is if you have Eczema, acid reflux, heart burn or geographic tongue (cracks on the tongue). Again this is a guess but maybe there is a link there that has to do with genetics OR with the stomach or the gut. I consulted a urologist about those cracks and told me that this is normal and basically i have to accept it. As a gay man i can say that i have seen penises with smooth head and penises with lines on the head but whatever the case, i find cracks on the penis head very likeable as it makes the penis look more mature (personal opinion).

I dont personally know, but i know that my wrinkles go away when my penis gets wet.

I FOUND THE ANSWER. Bad news tho, need to stop masturbating and go see a urologist. The wrinkles are caused when you hurt the upper layer of skin on the head from excessive or forceful masturbation. It will grow back if you leave it alone and dont jerk off for as much as a couple MONTHS.

Read a lot of similar posts because I have found the same symptoms on my part ;)
Went to a specialised doctor last week and can give you guys some good news.
It basically is the result of dryness over long periods of time.
That happens and is nothing to worry about.
Use some hydrating creme like Panthenol from Ratiopharm or similar cremes.
To find the creme that works best for you, it simply a matter of trying out and seeing what works best for you.
Put it on every day and clean your piece 1-2 a day with sensitive lotion.
Try to avoid strong soaps as they will dry out your penis and thus counteract the creme.
It will take a long time until your skin will have recovered but as I was told it is not of concern.
No restriction to your sex life or whatever. Just keep it moisturised.
Here a short description of my symptoms, just so you feel asured that my results apply to you too.
- I had like small grooves, ridges, cracks (or whatever you want to call it) over most of my glans.
- Some kind of small spots under the skin that where slightly visible after any kind of action ;)
- Didnt cause any pain

Same here, vertical “cracks”/lines along with tiny small bumps. Seem to mostly go away when masturbation is kept to once every two weeks or so (ugh) but come back *immediately* after masturbation or even brief sex.
The thing is, like some of the younger guys here, this didn’t cause me any real problems and was cosmetic for years. It gradually became a little sensitive after a few years. The past two years, it’s made sex and handjobs difficult….until now, it’s become almost impossible due to pain. Quick masturbation is alright, but sex is hard and post-shower dryness is way more than ever.
Changing to a lighter soap and moisturizing seems like a good idea, but if the area is even a little wet the grooves deepen and more bumps appear or become more pronounced. So, it seems like a catch-22.
If I keep it super dry then it becomes much smoother but sensitivity increases (becomes easy to hurt it after just a few minutes). Keeping it moist makes it seem more wrinkly, adds prominence to the bumps, but seems to make it easier to masturbate or have sex for a longer time before the pains starts.
Is there any way to both hydrate the underlying skin and keep the area free from moisture? Perhaps by using an emollient (which “locks in moisture”), like Johnson’s baby oil?
Good luck to all. This is one of those easily-dismissed things that cause a lot of headaches for us…

A little late, but which lotion helps..?
I’ve noticed that not being rough with it seems to help, but too much moisture makes everything more prominent (though decreases sensitivity). So, what sort of lotion is best? Moisturizer? Baby oil (mineral water/other emollient)? Natural stuff like coconut oil? Other types?
Thanks for any help..

I think it related to dryness or yeast infection. I have these time to time when my penis is dry from bathing a lot. Now I had yeast infection. I had red spots on my penis and foreskin. Doctor said it is just some irritation, so he gave me some cortisone to ease it. It helped for a while, but when i stopped it, red spots came back. Doctor still thought that it is some kind of irritation and I used thick lotion to moisturize my penis for few weeks. It kind of made it better, but still didn't heal it. Then they took sample from my penis and it was yeast infection. I used yeast infection cream for 2 weeks and spots were gone. 2 weeks after that, I started feel itching and see these deep(ish) lines on the head of my penis. I think it may be because yeast infection is back or just because I used creams so long that my penis isn't used to this kind of dryness. Similar thing happens with my lips. If I put lipstick and then stop using it. My lips starts to get dry before they get used to it and normal moisture is regained. Drinking a lot of water and avoiding long baths may cure this problem, but if not, then it may be yeast infection or something else and you should visit doctor.
