Hello, I had a hemorrhagic stroke last April due to a brain AVM. While I was in the hospital I noticed I had what felt like scabs on my scalp. I wasn't ever able to get anyone to tell me what it looked like. I'm thinking that maybe I had showered and forgotten to rinse my hair before I was hospitalized (I was feeling strange for a few days prior to being hospitalized, so this is the only reason I can think I would have had this).. So when I got out of the hospital I noticed right away that I was losing a  lot of hair. Over a year later my hair is significantly thinner and still falling out. I'm wondering if this could be caused by the stroke? I'm not getting any help about this from my doctors. Should I expect it to stay this way? I've tried vitamins for hair, but it seemed like might have slowed down the fallout, but I'm not sure. If anyone knows anything about this I'd appreciate any input. I finally got an appointment with a dermatologist but not until September. I'm in my 30's / female and this has really hurt my self esteem. Thanks for reading.. any input/advice would be greatly appreciated!
