I was diagnosed 6 years ago with osteoarthritis in my lower back and neck - for several years I received the epidureal pain blocks every 6 months and they worked well - Well last year in July I had a gallbladder attack that never went away - I needed surgery to remove gallstones - doctor went in and the gallbladder was so infected that they had to remove it. For 3 months I felt great - then I started having a lot of back pain and had more shots - this time they only worked for about 1 month - suddenlly the end of April I had a sore throat and my hands started swelling - checked for strep and it wasn't they said it was a virus and had to run it's course - by First week of May my hands started tingling and going numb - Two weeks later they where numb and I had the worse pain I have ever felt - way worse than the pain in my back which I use to think was nearly unbearable - well I have had every kind of blood test , urinary test, draws from within my joints, trying to figure out what was going on - The pain was so bad that they prescribed Lyrica trying to help the nerve pain - this in turn made my ankles, calves and knees swell to twice their normal size. After seeing a Cardiologist and having echocardiograms, and stress tests with dye etc etc. nothing still showing up - except now that my blood pressure is high (my entire life it was on the low end of perfect) but since June it has gone up to 150/94 now taking medication for that and also for fluid - not helping the swelling - which is getting very painful - Oh I forgot the neurologist recommended that I have carpal tunnel surgery - I was fighting trying to get someone to find out what is wrong with me - but seeing the doctor he said It could take 3 years before someone figures it out and you can have surgery and fix it now - Had surgery July 25th - this seemed to be a great answer - everything went well - fast recouperation - until this week - eveything swelled again and now have the same pain in my hands as before the surgery !!!!!
I am 44 years old and feel worse than my 75 year old clients -- I need help and pray every day that someone figures it out - not lupus, not rheumatoid arthritis, not lyme disease - actually not showing any infection in my body from blood work and also not showing bad kidney function - everything is coming back normal --Oh year several years ago I was having a lot of tooth pain - couldn't stand it so I had toothed extracted by surgeon and nothing was wrong with it. Now every so often the same pain is there in the same place the tooth was. Please help!!

I don't have an immediate answer to your question, but I have a hunch. You mentioned at the end of the paragraph that you had dental pain, and you had your tooth extracted but found out that nothing was wrong with it, but the same pain is still there. This leads me to suspect that you may have osteomyelitis of the jaw bone. This involves a walled off pocket of infection deep in the jaw bone that is often devoid of blood supplies and therefore resistant to antibiotic treatment, and it consists of dead tissues, pus and bacteria. From time to time, toxic secretions from the bacteria diffuse into the blood stream to reach organs far from the site of infection to cause problems elsewhere in your body. It was the toxic materials that spread rather than the bacteria themselves. This may explain why all your tests had come back normal. You may want to google this for more information. I think this is a promising lead.
