Hi, i am 39 and also have endo. I recently had a laparoscopy and endometrial ablation and my gyno has just said wait and see what happens. Im not the type to wait and see so i have done EXTENSIVE research on the pros and cons on endo, cysts and hysterectomy.Put it like this, there is not cure for endo, it is fed by eastrogen which is produced by the ovaries. If you keep your ovaries you are going to keep feeding the endo, keep getting cysts, all the other syptoms that go hand in hand with the condition. If you get rid of the ovaries you are at risk from other problems but should hopefully cure the endo and def the cysts. I personally am prepared to put up with hrt and other side effects in order to have a normal life back without the pain of endo. Every woman has to read the pros and cons of keeping or getting rid of their ovaries and make the choice herself armed with as much knowledge as possible. Good luck with whatever happens, remember you do have a say in your own body and if your gyno wont do as you ask find another one who will listen. 8-|
