I am traveling to London next month but I had a middle ear infection recently. A friend told me that people with this kind of problem should not travel by plane and she also mentioned the condition called aerootitis. Have you heard of that illness? What is it all about? Do you know?

It is true that changes in the atmospheric (air) pressure might damage the ear, and this could happen during a flight, when those changes are sudden and often. Ear drum might get ruptured, bleeding might occur, this condition is called aerootitis. But this is caused because of the pressure change not because of the infection you had.
