Having problems getting pregnant after Mirena IUD

thats scary i want to get mines removed i'm having all these symtoms its starting to control my life

Mirena is bad over a year ago

I had Mirena for 4 1/2 years. With the whole time of having the WORSET ovarian cysts. The first month was touch and go and i didnt know what was going on, after a few months it all got worse to where i was in constant pain everyday for 2 months, then it went from pain for 2 weeks straight and the 2 wks good adn slowly went to once a week every month. My doctor didnt think it was due to the iud but after 4 1/2 years i had it removed since i was goign through a seperation with my husband. TO my surprise the next day after having it removed the pain stopped.

Only thing that i hated was my OB telling me that Mirena WILL NOT cause cysts, so when they called to give me my test results from a ultra sound they were shocked when i told them that.

So now 6 months later im with an amazing guy trying to get pregnant and all im getting is ealry miscarriages with positive tests. Im guessing the iud thinned my uterus lining to the point its hard for the egg to "stick" Im opting out of any birth control. Why alter my body for the sake of preventing a pregnancy when the junk they give you can damage your body.

let me start by saying i do not get pregnant easy at all .....well i also had the merina and i had it removed feb 3rd 2012 wanting to become pregnant within the next few years i thought it was the best thing little did i know on april 13th 2012 i was positive with 5 home test lol. so my secret is i did hcg drops the ones to loose weight i only took them as directed on the bottle to loose weight for like 3 days but the reseurch iv done has made me think this is how i got pregnant so fast. hope this helps good luck baby dust to you !!!!

Yea, i had a child when i was 17 then about 3 yrs ago i had the iud i had it taken out for bout a few months into it close to a yr due to cramping all the time an then i got pregnent bout 6 weeks into it i lost my baby and ever since i cant get pregnent. i am now back on birth control pills crossing fingers my 6 yr old will get a brother or sister..

I had the Mirena for about 3 years. I did not have my period at all during this time. After the Mirena was removed I started my period 3 days later. It has been a year since it was removed and my husband and I havent become pregnant. Im looking into going to the Dr, what do you suggest we ask or what should be done,...? Any help would be grreatly appreciated Thanks

I have also been convinced that I was pregnant due to symptoms, I thought maybe it was in my head, but I see many others have experienced the same thing. It has been a little over a year, we have tried ovulation tests as well and I cannot get a reading on them either. We have tried different times, different frequency that we try, tried not concetrating on it, we arent really stressed either. People keep telling me that "it will happen when it happens" which I agree with, but after more than a year we are getting concerned. Thanks for the input it seems we are in very similar situations. I plan on going to the doctor to make sure everything is in order.

Hi i had the Mirena for 5yrs loved it. No problems what so ever im 27 and want to start trying to have a baby with my husband. Are
luck hasent been so great, got the IUD out in march waited for my cycle, since then my home pregnancy tests have been negative... Im scared at this point that i cant get pregnant......

im not really sure when i posted this but here is my update!! I got pregnant last april 2011 i lost the baby in august. i believe i am having trouble due to my IUD. I have one healthy boy already keeping my fingers crossed of the next healthy one!

hi there know what you are going through i had the same problem i have been trying to get pregnant for the last year and nothing my husband is not with me at the moment so im hoping when he comes home i will become prgnant i am the mother of one

I am having the same problem..every month I think I'm pregnant and then boom I start bleeding..it's been 9 months and I still haven't gpt pregnant and we have been trying A LOT!! I blame mirena and I will mever get another..I think this had made me infertile

Dude Mirena sucks ass and take your warning labels and make a commercial but run it at the beginning of the commercial not at the end. And of course put emphasis on the dangers to the uterine walls. So yaah f**k Miirena

My sister had the 5 year iud in for only a year. She wanted to have a nother baby! She was pregnant 2 months after removal. Well she thought she was. Her blood work showed she was pregnant. No baby or heart beat! Doctor said her egg was not strong enough. Her body would not release it. So they had to do a D&C! Now it has been exactly a year later same thing happened. Can this be from the iud ? Thinning of the uterus wall? I am her big sis! I feel so bad! I would like to give her some information to help her! Thanks
