finally someone came to a conclusion about what i have! i went to a different doctor, and he told me that what i had was an extreme tension in the neck muscles (which i already knew) caused by an inflammation between my vertebrae. He said that painkillers and muscular relaxants by themselves wouldn't solve the problem nor take my symptoms away, so i'm now takin anti-inflammatory and muscular relaxant meds. The truth is that after takin the pills for some weeks i started feeling a little better, and was able to sleep one night without waking up with my head aching. The bad thing is that probably this is a chronic disease which means that i'll be forever dependent on the pills to have life quality.

I've been through all of this for about 15 year s with the headaches, and cloudy heavy head, constant fatigue, and overall s@*tty feeling. I've been to regular doctors, neurologist, and neck and back specialists. One doctor said it was anxiety/depression. I tried Zoloft. Didn't help. The next doctor said it was high blood pressure. I tried Inderol. Didn't help. The neurologist had a CT scan done. Perfectly fine. Blood tests perfect. He asked me about sleep apnea. Ordered a sleep study. I've got a mild case of sleep apnea. Great, this could be the answer to why I am tired all the time and why I’ve have headaches. I’ve been on a CPAP machine for about a month. Nothing. I still feel like c**p and I’ve still got the headaches and fatigue. I tried a different pillow because I thought I was sleeping wrong.. Still wake up with a headache. The neurologist also said that I am having “cervogenic headaches”. He told me to go for physical therapy. The pulled, prodded, shocked, heated and massaged my neck. Nothing. I felt worse when I was done. This time I went to a neck and back specialist. I told him my story and he felt really bad for me. He said that he could try Lidacaine injections in my neck and shoulders. He did the injections the same day and it has been about three days and I woke up this morning with another headache just like every day for the past 15 years or so except this time my whole back hurt from the shots. . He also gave me a muscle relaxant. Doesn’t work. The only thing that has helped has been Tramadol. I could take about 50 to 200 mg a day to feel better and it doesn’t always help. My wife is worried that I will be addicted to it also. It is the only thing that makes me feel better when it does work.. OTC medicine doesn’t work for me. The doctor also told me to take two Aleve to control the inflammation. Doesn’t work. I have no idea what to do. I’ve done crazy already. I’ve been at my wits end already. I’m starting now on giving up hope on a normal life. I’ve given up already on enjoyment in life. I would rather have been diagnosed with a serious illness because then I would at least know what was wrong and why I felt so terrible all the time. My poor wife has to deal with me being irritable and cranky all the time. My poor parents had to deal with me when I was younger always complaining how bad I felt. I never feel like doing anything. I’m surprised I can hold a job down. I guess I have gotten so use to feeling bad all the stinking time. I’ve tried exercise, changing my diet, cutting out caffeine alcohol and cigarettes. Nothing helps these headaches. I have two options left. Chiropractor and Acupuncture. Thanks for listening.

My 14 year old son has had abdominal migraines and has had a headache for just under 90 days. He has had every test under the sun and moon. He too is on amatriptyline. This helps control the abdominal pain but not the head pain. We have seen every doctor there is. However, we have had no luck.

Have you seen a Cardiologist? I would ask about the diagnosis 'Syncope'.

Me also, for a month now, started on a really hard stressful work week. Headaches, dizzy, tired, ill, feels like cotton in my head spacy and pressure. my face even started pulling and ears super sensitive, may be bells pal,y. Stress medicine might help, I tried a little zanax for about a week and it helped a lot. Massage the main nerve leading into the brain in back of neck seems to help. Anti inflammatory seems to help a little too. Pinched nerve can also do this. Im stressed out and cry and worry all the time now.

ok i had all that stuff. After like a way bunch of tests this is what I had:
I have a brain chiari which causes all the headaches. Look it up
I also had a sleep study which showed i have RLS which makes it difficult to sleep.
I have an underactive theriod which didnt really relate to anything.
Have your doctor give you an MRI, which showed the Chiari.
I really hopes this helps, I am also 15 and even if you dont have any of this stuff maybe it can give you a little help

The descriptions sound like cluster headaches. A neurologist is the best doctor to see. They'll most likely diagnose you the first visit. my headaches started when I was 15 too and now Im 29. It wasnt until I was sophomore or junior at college and the nurse at college cared enough to send me to get checked out. A special shout out to the creator(s) of verapamil and especially Imitrex

I totally understand how all of you feel. These headaches just started coming about around the end of March 09' and haven't stopped since. I just don't feel the same anymore. These headaches last all day and there is just no cure. I went to the emergency room because I just couldn't take it anymore. They took blood tests and I had a CT scan done. All was clear. They diagnosed me with having migraines and gave me some migraine meds and sent me off. Taking those pain meds just make me feel even worse. I want to get back to feeling normal. I hate these darn headaches. The only time I feel okay is when I am laying down. When I get up, I start to feel dizzy. I don't want to make any fast movements because my head will hurt. My head feels so heavy and I always feel nauseated. I tried Imitrex and that didn't help. I've tried allergy medication because my physician thought it might be my allergies. Nope. No help. I wouldn't wish this on anyone. WTH? Your fine one day and then all of sudden, you have a headache for life.

I am 16, and have also had the exact same symptoms. I have aches in every place in my body as well. I went to the doctor and I apparently have Mitral Valve Prolapse, which is supposedly the cause of my dizziness. He said it was a mild case, and as I am quite tolerant to pain, I do not think this could be considered "mild". I've also had a horrible earache to go along with everything; doctor said i have a sinus infection which has blocked my eustachian tube in my ear. No medicines have helped. I'm pretty desperate at this point. The headaches are absolutely ridiculous. Not to mention the dizziness that comes everytime i change gravitational levels. My aunt has Neurocardiogenic Syncope, and has daily headaches and dizziness. I'm not sure if this explains everything else, though. I wish I knew what was wrong. I'm going into my 5th month with the sinus problems and it keeps getting worse.

I'm 24 years old and i am also expeirencing the same issues. Constant headaches that develop into migraines. Always drowsy. Neck Aches. Irratated throat. However the tip of my tounge in numb everyday since the headaches started. I've tried allergy meds but that's a lost cause and the Headache meds Relpax, which works ok. What really helps me is the over the counter Excedrin Back and body rapid release gel caps. I take it whereever i go. They are great- however they do not solve the problem. Just don't take them at night since they have caffine in them (which is also great cause it gets rid of the fatigue).

I am also 15 and i have the exact same syptoms as you minus the swollen glands and sore throat. This has been going on for about 10 months. I've seen various doctors, but none seem to care enough to try and help me. I know how frustrated you are beleive me. I've tried many migrane meds, but none have helped. My psychologist suggested that i get an MRI, but my family doctor is unwilling and our insurance won't cover it. If you do get any answers, i'd love to hear them so that i might get closer to my answer...

Throughout my life I have had off/on headaches. When I was younger (now 18) I went to the doctor and the doctor thought that maybe it was due to light sensitivity. I continued having headaches on/off for years to come. Now, for the past 4 weeks I have head TERRIBLE headaches all day and night (no relief from pain killers or any medication for that matter), dizziness when standing up (relief when I lay down and close my eyes), eyes hurting and certain times, HIGHLY fatigued, and when I get these headaches they are in no particular part of my head...it's kind of like they move around sometimes at my temples, then above my ears and then back of head... rarely in front although it has been that way too. I went to the hospital and my cat scan came back clear... doctor thought it was tension headaches and prescribed me a muscle relaxer and a high dose pain killer. (no relief.) Then I went to the doctor or said to stop taking what the hospital gave me and gave me migraine medication. (NO RELIEF)... I am so TIRED of this... I don't know how much more I can take. I need answers...
