I have all the same symptoms you all have. Just because your negative for the monospot doesn’t mean you can’t or don’t have mono. An ebv panel is more specific and certain and will show up a long time after initial contraction. The monospot hardly ever catches it because there’s a very very short time frame where the monospot will be positive. It’s been over a year since I tested positive for acute infection on my ebv panel. They caught it on my monospot, then my monospot was negative literally a couple weeks later, but my ebv panel has been positive for almost a year. I was hoping to come here to find some more information but I see there are many of you who need answers more than you have information. From my experience, ebv can be downright terrible. I lost my gallbladder to it (which I know sounds crazy, but I’m a proven case that it does cause organ inflammation) and it’s been really hard on my vascular system, liver, and it can have a lot of terrible neurological effects. I hadn’t pretty much debilitating vertigo and dizziness for almost a year after diagnosis. i also want to mention though, that any sort of anemia can also cause these symptoms. I’ve been dealing with that as well from the mono complications. So if I have any advice for any of you above and anyone who comes to this thread looking for help, get your blood counts checked and have an ebv panel done.

I'm scanning through all these familiar posts, my daughter is 11 and we're just 3 months into this, I saw our post and it brought tears to my eyes, I'm so hoping you've cracked this and are better. I notice your post is over a year old. You poor girl, what a terrible journey.

First please take care of yourself, breath in and out thru out the day. and meditate. I know for a fact that pain is there but our minds can help. No sugars, no coffee, lye down and say I am important, breath in and out and remember the great things you have done in your life. Great things!! Keep in touch with a great Chiropractor, and a Massage Therapist. It does help. I hope that you will do well in life. so good to hear from you.
