Hi,
I am 33/w and since yesterday, I am experiencing heaviness in my chest. There is no pain in jaw or chest and no difficulty in breathing either. I feel as if I am carrying a lot of weight on my chest. I feel it as sitting or taking stairs and more pronounced when laughing. I am not sure what it is, but I do intend to talk to my doctor and take blood pressure in the mean time. I am just not sure if it is emergency. Please advise.

Hi,
You have posted this in Anxiety Disorder forum so I suspect that you are having problems with anxiety and you think that these two can be related in some way. Well anxiety is very problematic to cope with and it can have physical side effects as well by I think that your main problem here is respiratory. You might be having some sort of problems with your lungs or your heart. Most people who experience these conditions have problems with respiratory system where the lungs get damaged in some way. Are you smoking cigarettes? Do you exercise in any way? You should first check your blood pressure and talk to your doctor about the possibility of problems with the lungs.

I am curious how this turned out for you, and wondering if you have a hiatal hernia. I have had a ton of medical issues that to others looked like anxiety, but had real medical causes.
