Hi! I'm new here. My husband and I have been wanting to have children since we got married. However, I am still under Hepsera medication. Is it okay for the baby/fetus while simultaneously I am still under daily medication? What if I temporarily stop Hepsera while pregnant? Are there risks in my part? I would appreciate hearing from you. We really would want even just one child. Please let me know. Thank you.

Hi, I am currently taking hepsera as well. I was told if I could get my levals under 200,000 that it would be a possibility but I would need to be on this drug for at least 6 months and then be taken off hepsera and monitored closley because there is a high risk of the hep b coming back full force and infecting a baby. I was also told to see a fertility specialist who also deals with patients like myself. Your G.I. doctor would be able to personalize your case , ask them :) hope this helps
