I am a 48 yr old female. About 2 yrs ago I noticed a pea sized knot on side of my face by my ear. Dentist said it is a spit gland or something like that. About 6-9 months ago my voice started getting hoarse and I do not have allergies and have never had a problem with them. It has progressively gotten worse to the point that several people have noticed it when I speak. Now, today, the lower left side of my neck hurts when I swallow. Not a pain like a sore throat but more like an uncomfortable ache. Could these things be related and should I be concerned.

I'm not a doctor, still I can help. I believe that might be a swollen lymph node. These do cause neck pain, tiredness and even throat problems. Check the health of your teeth. Do you have any infected teeth? Teeth implants? I recommend seeing a doctor. Good luck and please do it asap!
