I honestly have no idea what to do, I am in so much pain I honestly feel like crying. I'm 15 years old and a few days ago I noticed a cold sore, so I just put medication on it as usual, last time I got one I was 11. I looked up the symptoms of having a cold sore and it says Muscle aches, headaches, swollen lymph nodes, sore throat, etc and I have ALL of that. I have a swollen lymph node on the right side of my neck and EVERYTIME I swallow its an excruciating pain! I can't take it, it really hurts on my right side of my throat, which makes my ear hurt. I also have a VERY stiff neck, it feels like I slept wrong for the past month, and it hurts when I move my neck. Also, when I put my neck back the back of my head starts to hurt. All of these symptoms started happening RIGHT when I got my cold sore. It's been about 2 days. I've tried taking medication but nothing is working. PLEASE HELP. I cannot sleep, because everytime I swallow there's a pain that just makes me want to curl up in a ball and die.

You should go to the doctor, those could be some very serious symptoms. I do not think it is associated with the cold sore. If you have strept throat you have to take antiboitics. All of your symptoms are symptoms of strept throat. However, the neck pain is worrisome. Please get this checked out.
