how can I tell if i have cysts on my overies?

I had a dermoid cyst on my ovary. I didn't know about it until the doctor told me, but I did have symptoms in retrospect. My tummy looked fatter, sometimes I felt nauseous, deep penitration during sex hurt, and occasionally I would get the feeling of a pinch in my lower left side. If you think it's a cyst, go to the doctor. I lost the ovary, maybe if it had been caught sooner it would have been saved.
