Improving my cycling speed and stamina has been my goal for a long time. I know that it is not easy. I am not sure what to do. I have tried everything but my progress has been very slow at best. Sometimes I get the feeling that I am not making any progress at all. How is your cycling stamina?

I am sure that you are doing your best. Even more than that. Well, that may be the problem. You are pushing too far. Remember, you can train hard or you can train long, but you can’t do the both. But that is what many novices have been doing. You have to give your body enough time to rest and recuperate. Otherwise you will not only see a lack of progress but you may witness a decline in your strength and endurance.
