I had my implant removed two years ago and only had it in for 6/8 months. How much longer do I have to wait until my hormones go back to the way they were?

Hi, guest.

After the removal of a contraceptive implant, it can take some time for your hormone levels to return to their pre-implant levels. For most people, this process usually takes a few weeks to a few months. However, it's important to keep in mind that everyone's body is different, and it may take longer or shorter for your hormone levels to balance out.

For example, my wife waited for almost 6 months to go back to normal after getting off implant.

If you have been experiencing hormonal imbalances or other symptoms for an extended period of time after the removal of the implant, it's important to talk to your doctor. They may be able to suggest other treatment options or tests to determine if there is an underlying issue that needs to be addressed.
