First response is the most accurate, but still you should wait until your expected period. Dont use clearblue easy or anything with a plus or minus sign, after a few mins it will give you a false positive. Good luck Im in the same boat and the waiting game is horrible. Youd think mother nature would let you know sooner so that you can start really preparing for it and taking the right vitamins.

Carifairy That is ENTIRELY incorrect. You can not possibly tell someone to take a test 14 days after sex. You would need to know the exact ovulation DATE to say such a thing. The only way you can make such a bold statement is if she had sex the day before ovulation?? Not everyone ovulates 14 days after the first day of their period... Gosh ladies please just do some research BEFORE making yourselves look silly. Everyone comes on here demanding answers... How about you take control of the situation and research things instead of having people feed you answers.

you actually CAN tell when implantation takes place, but only sometimes. Implantation usually occurs 4-6 days after sex, and can cause spotting that some women may mistake for the beginning of their period. Implantation bleeding usually only lasts 2-3 days.

I work nights and my temp is all over the place, so I don't chart it any more. I do chart CM. We had sex when we needed to because we are TTC. My periods are irregular, to the point that I have been put on progesterone to start my cycle. My periods, when i get them are about 5 days long. My last "period" was a few days late and only lasted 2 days. The day before I had brown stuff, the next 2 days were light pink and I didn't even need a panty liner, then another day of brown. Was this implantation bleeding? How soon can I test?

hi there im just wonderng if i could be pregnant, ive had what i think is implant bleeding about 1 and a half weeks to 2 weeks before my next period starts but it only lasted 1 day? is that possible? im next due on the 25th-28th august

Hi All! Many of the stories I am reading sound similar to what I have experienced. I had ovulated the first week of August and wasn't due for my period until the 21st. However, on August 8th (a whole week early) I spotted a small amount of brownish stuff (just needed a panty liner, so I thought it might be implantation. Then the next day it got a little heavier like my period was starting but it was more of a pinkish color and thiner/runnier than usual. But then the next 3 days it was so light that I didn't need to were anything - just very light brown spots when I would wipe. This is very unusual for me. I have been off of the pill for over a year and my period is usually the same every month and always on time. We have been TTC for 2 months now. Could this early period have actually been implantation? I took a test a day after the spotting stopped and it was neg. I never got a period this past weekend like I was expecting. I am going to wait until this coming weekend to test again. I know many people have posted questions about their spotting but nobody follows up their post to say how they made out with future tests....just wondering what other people have experienced and if they were pregnant or not....if so, how long did it take after the spotting before a test showed positive?

Everything I have read... online... books... What to Expect... etc.. says that light spotting frequently accompanies the implanting which could take place anywhere from six to ten days after fertilization.
I have a 6 yr old boy and lately I have been feeling muscle spasms/cramps in my lower tummy, like butterflies or a moth trapped between your hands. I usually get menstral cramps on the left and right and a little higher around the hip bones, but this is dead center and just above the pubic hair. I don't know what that is.
I am only 8 days beyond intercourse and have no idea when I should be expecting my period. All of my preg-tests have come back negative and if I am pregnant, it is a completely un-expected event. However, my nipples hurt (they are usually inverted but right now they are bright red and sticking out) but the skin around them has not darkened. I have what feels like hot flashes in my face. I have cravings and nausia at the same time. My tongue won't say what I want it to.... I can't sleep but am exhausted all of the time. I am also swelling in the hands and feet and knees... but I think that might be the weather lately.
Last night I had to pee (which I am doing all the time) and there was a little blood on the tissue. This morning when I woke up I had the most horrific headache on the left side of my face, over my left eye, left temple and left ear. Sleep was the only thing to make it better. I think my breasts feel heavier and fuller but all of my tests have been negative.
I usually have a period within 4 to 7 days of the full moon, which was last Tuesday but I think I must be "off" schedule now because that would be too soon from my last period which started July 30th...
I am hoping I can get a positive test result in the next few days but wonder if it is still to early... Any thoughts?

There are other natural family planning methods that DON'T require you to take your basal temperature at the same time every day, but still help you know when you are ovulating. These methods can help you to either avoid pregnancy or achieve it. I had my regular period for December on the 4th, had intercourse with my boyfrien on 12/18, 12/20 ,12/21, and 12/29 which we used protection, but when I looked back at my calendar 2 of these days were my ovaluation dates!!!!!!!!!! All of sudden on December 30th!!!! I came on my period again which my regular period for January should have been January 2nd.
The 30th menses, was lighter than usually, and bright red with pink on the 1st day, no shedding of tissue (uterus lining) in the mesnflow (sorry for the graphics!!!!) like I normally see which is extremely weird... I feel really tired, and funny than I normally feel when having my mense and looks like this one its about to stop today on the 1st....
I'm nervous to take a pregnant test and don't now if I should wait a couple of days or not be alarmed at all...maybe I just started early for January!!!

I need some info, as well! I usually have my cycle every 3 weeks, my last one started on Jan 10th, I haven't had one since. Me and my bf have intercourse regularly. Yesterday (Monday) I noticed spotting, its been off and on today as well. I took a pregnancy test Friday and yesterday (Monday) ..both neg! Could I be preg and just testing too early?!
