I am in the army and I have an extremely active fitness schedule. I run, and do muscle failure workouts as part of the Army PT program. I am also very active in the gym trying to increase my strength. I have gained 30 pounds, and have increased my strength by 80 pounds on my bench over the past 8 months. I have used supplementing as part of my workouts to mantain training focus and intensity. Over the past couple months I have noticed pain in my joints while lifting heavy, and I have had pain in my hands from swelling in the joints. Any suggestions on how to avoid this or whats going on?

Look at your vitamin and mineral intakes. As the level of activity and exercise is increased, you also need to increase your vitamin intake to maintain balance.
Look into getting some good multi vitamins or supplements or consult the base docs and nutrition specialists about getting a diet together that more closely matches the needs of your body under this increased exercise.
