I had a hysterectomy in 2004, do to endometiosis. I have been hoping that one one day I would have the chance to have another baby. against odds I ran across this while looking up information, I would love to help in any way I can at getting this hope and possibility out there for other women like me. women who really had no option but to do what needed to be done. I am hurt and would really like another chance to have a baby, and I am willing to undergo any thing medically that I would have to do; to get that chance. my children are my world and I don't feel I should not have the option to give love to another child ever, nature wasn't on my side, however I hope you will be, by giving me the chance. one word and I'm there

Hi honey! Even though it does happen - a pregnancy after a hysterectomy - it is EXTREMELY EXTREMELY rare! And also EXTREMELY dangerous IF it was to happen! I take it that you had your uterus removed? Were your ovaries removed too? The only way - IF you still have an ovary is for a surrogate to have your baby! I TOTALLY understand your heart, with this matter, as I had a hysterectomy when I was 36 and was COMPLETELY devestated about not having anymore children, and I used to hope that sperm could make it to my ovaries and I would be one of those women who had a pregnancy and everything would be great! BUT I knew even IF I became pregnant, most of the time these poor women can die from internal bleeding! A conceived egg, needs to attach itself to a blood source - sometimes the colon, the stomach, the bladder or the lining of the stomach! Many of those poor women have had to have colostomies, abdominal surgery etc. It is even rarer to have a healthy baby and delivery! So try and focus on eithther a surrogate, or adoption! I understand TOTALLY OK? I just don't want you to get your hopes up that 1 in a million women get pregnant after a hysterectomy! Good luck and health honey! BIG hugs!
