I know the feeling and it's horrible. And even though you know you shouldn't say anything and start a fight you just can't seem to help yourself! So, you have trust issues and that would only be there if you either weren't satisfied with his explanation about the other girl, or you can't understand his mentality about it, or you don't think very much of yourself. Pretty much you only have a few options I think. 1. Is to very calmly, even apologetically bring up the past and ask very calm questions until he explains his thinking and actions in a way that can put your mind at ease. 2. Is to sit him down, say sorry for starting fights and honestly explain the emotional dilema you're in and put the ball in his court. Or 3. If you recognise that the problems stem from lack of confidence get a whole bunch of hobbies that don't include him and learn to respect yourself and trust in your attributes more. The bonus of number 3 is that his respect will probably go up to, just because we generally admire independence.
I hope you guys can sort this out, but one things for sure you've either got to learn to trust him or believe in yourself because relationships can't go on like yours is.
