On May 20th I fractured my 2nd metatarsal, apparently. I did this while playing flag football and landed awkwardly. The x-rays showed a clear fracture, the CT scan showed a possible fracture in the 3rd metatarsal. My doctor recomended getting surgergy to be "safe." I'm a college student and I play college football, so I decided to get a 2nd opinion because the surgery would have put me out for the season. Anyways, I got a 2nd opinion and he put it in a cast for 5 weeks. After the cast I did rehab for a month or so and then I came to football camp. I still couldn't run, nonetheless jog.  My team doctors recomended an MRI, which I got. The MRI revealed a partial tear in my Lisfranc, fluid around my foot, and my fracture still hadn't healed. This MRI was about a month ago (September 2). I'm worried and confused about what I should do because my foot is still bothering me, it hurts constantly. I wear a plate in my shoe to help stabalize it, but I feel like it isn't getting better. I'm regretting that I didn't get the surgery and I wish I would've. My parents have already spent a lot of money on all my doctor visits/rehab and I know they don't have much to give me. I had to redshirt football this year and now I just wana get ready for next year. However, idk whats going on? Please help me. I just want it to be over with, it's the most frustrating injur I've ever had. If i have to get the surgery now, it will ruin everything, I'm not sure what to do. Please help me and feel free for any advice.
