My name is Tori i'm 23yrs old and gave birth to my forth child just 8month ago. The question I have has sort of been asked already with a few exceptions. For as long as I can remember I have always had little bumps around both of my nipples (on the areola). On the right breast there was always one that was bigger then the rest. Like the other person asking this question, I thought it might be a pimple and would pop it. In fact I would pop all of the one's I could. The stuff that came out every time was thick, white and almost dry to the touch. This particular one I could "pop" weekly and get the same amount out each time(size of a big rain drop). About two weeks ago I noticed a few little red rash like spots one that same breast. It went away about 3 days later, then a week after that the bump swelled up really big. It is the size of ;at times bigger then, the tip of my nipple. It is very painful, pilling, unable to pop(solid) and has developed a red dot(like a blood spot) on it. It has been there for 5 days now with no signs of improvement. I tried a worm cloth but it heart really bad. I've taken over the counter pain medication and anti inflammatory medication but neither one helps. I don't have insurance until Aug. 1st 07 about two weeks away. What do you think this could be and should I wait until Aug.? Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks for your time,
Tori

i have bumps there too and my nipples are so sensitive to touch. i'm going to try to change my bra every other day at least. i just never thought about it. sometimes i'd wear my bra 10 times before i would even think of washing them. they just don't look like they get dirty. my nipples also became sensitive after i gave birth. i could barely breast feed.

how often do you change or wash your bra after each use? 8-|

You should make an appointment with you OB/GYN...and ask them if this could be a case of Paget's Disease of the Breast... It is a form of breast cancer that is a rash around the nipple and eventually it will spread. It can be very serious, just to be on the safe side, you should make an appointment and research this disease online to see if the symptoms match any of your symptoms...
