I started taking Norco for my back pain/nerve damage abut 2 years ago, and it wasnt working that great after while, I still had alot of pain(coulnt afford to go to the PM ) So my MD really couldnt give me anything stronger. So I had a friend that was taking methadone for the same exact reason as me taking the norco, he said to try one to see if the helped. So I did.I was completly amazed, how all my pain was gone, nothing worked that well, so I started taking them, and trying to figure out how to get my dr to perscribe them too me. Then I started seeing how bad they were if, I ran out. I wanted to die, with the pain. The withdrawels were unbarable for me. I signed up to detox, being scared of dying the next time I ran out. They did my blood work, and they said that I could do an abstinence 5 day detox, bbut they wouldnt give any meds, at all. to help symptons. They also said that, what was the use in stop taken thing if I was going to be dying in pain after detox, I would just go back to takening them. So they sent me hume with some lortab plus and some adivans. So I have a couple of questions here, one, how long befre I will be able to feel some relief from the lortabs, and with taken them and the adivan how long will all that withdrawls last.???? Also what am I suppose to say to my dr, that give me my Norcos, now that I am going to need something for the pain,.They said that some people just have to take pain pills for the rest of there life. They said that there was nothing that was going to relieve the pain I have beside narcotics.. Some on please help
