O i have the same thing! It came quite a few times yesterday but now i just woke up and there is only a little bit. Im 13 and have been waiting for my period for quite a while.. my breasts are sore and i have lots of cramps so do you think that its almost time?
Yes that is your period, the *exact* same thing happened to me when I got it. But be warned: it will not be NEARLY as light the next time. It will be like 50x worse.
Okay, I started my period this week, and it was really heavy! As the days passed by the color turned a little more brownish looking. This just means that the blood is old, and it is completely normal. If you haven't had you period yet, I would recommend, go see a doctor. If this is a vaginal discharge, and it is brown, you may have a yeast infection. So I would be safe and go ask an adult or doctor.

Its vaginal discharge....it can signal that you are about to start your period or your body is going through physical changes.
Spotting is natural...that brown discharge is simply old blood. :)

omg i just had this brown stuff in my panties!! o.O i was like"uhh did i poo my pants??"im really scared to start my period.and im really embarrased to tell my mom!!im 12 and i feel weird about this.my and my friend were txting and talking about this and she said it was just discharge.i feel better wen i talk to her. :-D
I'm 15, & I've had my period since I was like 11. The only time I've had brown spots was the first two days that I first got my period. & in August there was a time where I whipped, & my discharge was all brown. I was kinda freaking out, but then it went away the next day. Then 2 days ago I went to wipe, & it was brown again. & it's been brown for about 2 days now. I dunno if it's my period or what. I'm freaking out, hoping I don't have an infection. If it doesn't stop soon, I think I'm gonna tell my mom & ask to see a doctor.

Weird thing is, the brown stuff comes BEFORE your period for you guys. For me, it comes at the end of mine. o_o;
OMG, me too! I am really scared, I cried a few times....this is TWO panties i've thrown away now...I can get some pads from my moms purse I guess...I hope this doesn't last over 3-7 days...I've had it for 2 or 3 days now...What happens? Does it go all brown (well, it is now) then it just randomly stops, or do I have urine leaks or something? Some people said u would get like---this white, sticky substance and this could be the start of it, or its already going thru, or its already ended..then brown may appear..I've had the sticky white substance for maybe a month or so...now its majorly brown! I'm scared, that I can;t even look at the tiolet paper, or the tiolet..Iclose my eyes while 'wip[ing' then close the lid and flush it without looking...but currently, I have lots of tioletpaper wrapped around my panties/underwear....keep it like this until I get pads? HOW LONG DOES IT LAST AND WHEN DOES IT 'APRROX. OCCUR? Same time the next month? :$ :'( I'm actually crying, and i"m boiling, and i'm sooo shaky I can barely type or drink my pop.....I don't want to tell anyone....will this be fine? :'(
Um, I'm a little freaked because I've been having my period for...six years now I think. I've been sexually active for four years and most of the times I have a period I have a LOT of brown stuff/discharge(sometimes it's heavier than my period). I don't really have any women to talk to about it so I was wondering, what is it? Is it just discharge or something else? It's usually before and during my periods and pretty heavy so I'd really like some help because I'm just kinda worried about it.
hey dont worry it happening to me as we speak and i asked my mom and she said your period will be a little more red. but iv had it for 3 days now and i dont know what it is!ahh ok maybe we can freak together :$ ugggg y does being a girl come with all the little suprises along the way??

Just thought I'd point out that doctors REALLY don't give a c**p about stuff like that. All they've told me, over the course of 5 years, is to take Tylenol, no matter how hard I tried to pursuade them. So what I finally did was just ask for a prescription for the birth control. LOL. I'd heard it helped better than Tylenol with the pains, so I thought what the hey. :-P I take it now and it does work very well, still not completely effective as my pains are normally crippling, make-you-vomit-for-three-days painful. LOL. But when I went to the emergency room one time with really bad pains they gave me a prescription for T3, and that works too. Knocks me right out though. LOL. So with the BC and T3 it's much better. :-P
So ANYWAY, my point is, if you have really bad menstrual pains, you should really ask your doctor about the birth control, it helps a lot better than most painkillers, and your doctors won't even suggest it to you, you gotta ask them.

the exact same thing has been happening to me too! i havent had my first period yet and im freaking out!!!! its brown and when i wipe its worse! i'm way too scared to tell my mom! its not like normal its dischargie and disgusting! AAHHHHHH IM FREAKING OUT SOMEBODY HELP ME!
