Hi.

Based on your symptoms of difficulty swallowing and a red uvula, it's possible that you have a case of pharyngitis (inflammation of the pharynx) caused by Streptococcus bacteria. Strep throat is a common cause of pharyngitis and is caused by Streptococcus pyogenes bacteria.

Symptoms of strep throat can include a sore throat, difficulty swallowing, fever, swollen lymph nodes, and sometimes white patches on the tonsils. The redness and inflammation of the uvula is also a common symptom of strep throat.

If you suspect that you have strep throat, it's important to visit a healthcare professional for a proper diagnosis and treatment. A throat swab can confirm the presence of Streptococcus bacteria, and antibiotics may be prescribed to treat the infection.

It's also important to practice good hygiene habits, such as washing your hands regularly and avoiding close contact with people who are sick, to reduce your risk of contracting strep throat and other infections.
