Over the past couple of months I have become vegetarian, but this last two weeks I have been suffering from feeling faint like my blood sugar is low, tired, I am very pale, short of breath and having dizzy spells, do you think this could be aneamia??

Yes, a pure vegetarian diet can cause iron deficiency because plant-based foods contain chemicals that can inhibit iron absorption. You can overcome this inhibition by taking iron supplements, or cooking food in an uncoated iron skillet with a spoonful of vinegar. The vinegar (acetic acid) will convert the iron from the skillet into an absorbable form. You can check your blood glucose yourself to see if it is within normal range. A simple blood test at the doctor's office will determine whether you are anemic or not.
